sick and tired.

I'm getting sick and tired of giving away my blue's almost never see something of it again.
Or see with the blue's by ohzone or zum
those two give away super special blue's and i almost never see one of those back in this forum.
that is why the deadbeat member post came along.
Now i've got an idea..
put most of the blue's behind a second membership.
if you contribute or are specialy selected by one of the moderators. you can join the elite 3dcarfoce.
This is something you can do if the goup is getting to big and only 5% of the members is realy doing something to this community.

just my 2 cents..

 show your stuff!!<br />

Who though? It could be.. you.. nah..

Anyway, that is a good idea discocandy, I could set-up a special group that could only access special blueprints. PM me if you're interested.

Question!....How do you even know people are using the blueprints you posted. It would be very hard to prove that poeple are using them, and even if they are making a car you have the blueprint for and posting it on another web site, it would still be hard to prove they used your blueprint. Unless ofcourse you can see them in a screen shot or somthing.

Also if some people browse this website looking for prints, but cant find any they like, and want to model one that is in the "second membership" section, which they cant access, how will they get to that section? What I mean is, say I wanted to model like an F50 as my first car, but the only avalible print was in the "second membership section" and there was no other cars I was interested in, in the regular section. How would I be able to access the new section if I never contributed. It would make people feel like they would have to model a car they otherwise wouldnt and post it just so they can have access to the print they originally wanted. Dunno if that makes any sence by there just my thoughts.

im my case i'm almost only filling in requests. so for me it's easy to see if someone is taking my prints beacouse they ask for it.

Good question!!
not all the prints will be in the restricted erea. the ones found on the www can stay in the free erea'but that can be a point of discussion
a lot of prints come from other websites like onnovanbraam or suurland (and all the others i forget)
you can contribute not only by donating bue's but showing your stuff and and reply to others. if the mods think your good enough you can come over to the restricted erea.

You can always ask one of the mods or request one in the request erea.
It's the up to the mods to deside if someone gets the print.

sick and tired.

... Where to begin... This place is becoming to much for me, I feel if I leave, it will die. I just want this place to be able to sustain itself without me being here all the time, I know many others contribute and reply to peoples topics but sometimes I feel that for the ones that have no reply, if I don’t reply then no one will, and they'll leave, not wanting to come back to show more stuff, probably not true but its how I’ve been seeing things.

Its an interesting idea, I made the deadbeat thing up just so that people who donate prints could see there cars made, I mean after all they deserve it. I feel bad for the people who donate prints and they never get to see there car come to life here, even if it is made. I was also hoping to get the WIP forum cooking with more WIP models, and more replies. That way more people wouldn’t have to be threatened into showing there work, they would want to show there work because there would be feedback for them, to entice them to post and reply to others work (kind of like a chain reaction) …. Wishful thinking I guess though

I'm stil here because the people i hoped to get a reply from did give me reply!(after looking at a lot of finnished work here on this forum).
If no one gave me reply i would have never came back.

That's how it should, be and yes there are some new guys who started showing the Cars they are building or builded.
I again think youré right.. showing al ot of WIP will trigger other people to show stuff they are working on.

 I'm not leaving yet

going on a hollyday to south-africa in a few days. wont be able to see this forum for 4 weeks.

dont be...relax...

in my years of internet interaction and experience I can freely say that I have been thru all sorts of boards, communities etc...many of 'em I either ran or was directly involved in keeping those places going, adminning, modding, contributing and so on

the truth is,no matter how much effort you put into it nowadays, the people you build and open places for and to are simply too lazy and spoiled to show much appreciation....most of them are lurkers and only looking to grab something they think they might need and run away with it

currently I am running a very private lightwave board with the membership of ~60 and have the same number of Online visitors as you guys here with memberbase of ~6,000...five or six people on the average.
Despite the fact that the members of my forum are very carefully selected there's the same kind of apathy, people who are ready to keep coming only to find out that nothing new is happenening and that doesnt stop them from coming the next day nor does it spur them to do something to get some action going...

this is also happening because the internet now is so vast that it takes a long time to check it all out and only read and visit places,so there's only so much time left to contribute

I guess all I'm saying is that you guys can relax, and even if you took some time off and retured in a couple of month's time the things would not be any different nor would this place die and people would be coming the same as they have so far...

I know you are trying to do the opposite,to stir things up here so there's a lot more action but while it might be worth some effort and planning do not take it so seriously as to be dissapointed if it doesnt improve things all that much, who cares - this is a great resource place whichever way you look at it

sick and tired.

nice idea, but it will ruin the hole forum and the fact that its easy t use and free, like myself, im a modeler andso are many other 1000's who visit this site, were not as talented on google and finding blueprints...reason y we come here...

at the end of the day this is an archive of blueprints. thats what people come here for. You on the other hand are a regular and hang around the forum and would expect more from us visitors.

ill say it now

you guys are great, you have helped me and alot of modelers out ALOT, you help paid modelers make their money, you help learners start.

but im sure u know that, i know u probs want some recognition and some thankyous for your work, but so do the other 1000 blueprint makers. We dont know who were downloading the prints off so we catn tell which print is by who?
