NFSU and vinyls

Hi guys

I have a question. I know i can convert NFSU Vinyls to Directdraw files but how can i convert these directdraw files to jpg or tga?

Not sure if it helps you this my shot :twisted:

If you do have photoshop 7/8 .... you can just save as the file in jpg.
but before you do that you need some plug in so you can open the dds in photoshop

but with 3dmax ... i got no single idea to do that .... you can't even render the sence with dds textures :roll:

1st you need the dds file extractor .... you can download it form this site NFS Unlimited file (Utile) name is BinTex 0.3

This program will let you open up Textures.bin, Vinyls.bin, and any other textures and export the texture data as Direct Draw Surface (DDS) files. :twisted:

but you can't view the dds file with it. :? but if you download the file (Utile) DDS Thumbnail Viewer form NVIDIA. you can view it by single click in it.

hey guys. I'm new to this and im really gettin into car modelin..so im just curious about what folder exactly in NFSU are the decals and all of that stuff?

evry car has his own vinyls and decals so just open the car folder and u will see texture.bin and vinyl.bin

yeah .... i know that site 3dtotal .... i have tryied to do it, but I don't know how to use UVW maps. :oops:

if any of you can help me out ... plz do so and i can show some of my work here :wink:
