Quick Question

Discreet offers a free 30-day trial on their website; if you want the full version of 3DS Max, plan on spending a couple hundred bucks.

Scott:Okay, Houston. As I stand out here in the wonders of the unknown at Hadley, I sort of realize there's a fundamental truth to our nature. Man must explore.

Quick Question

Our stand alone licence cost us about 4 000$ (not including taxes and stuff)

But there's a student version too for non-commerical and private use that's much cheaper ... like 100$ here and you no longer have to be a 3d/art student to use it.

And then there is GMax which I still believe is free ?
