Modeling a car.
you'll not find much help around here, everyone seems to use 3dsmax and lw. i use maya though, and i just make a small plane and extrude the edges around the shape of the car and tweak the vertex's like mad till youre ready to smooth

Modeling a car.
hey,
im a maya user and i saw this post! fancy that! i pull vertices around the shape of the car and smooth it off. always works for me! my only problem is that recently i was working on a dodge challenger and it was all going well but when i mirrored the poly shape and merged the vertices down the middle, i was left with a huge seam! when i smoothed it the whole car looked like a pile of s**t! can anyone help? ![]() Way back in old days, before women were invented, <br />Men dug holes in telegraph poles and had to be contented. |

select the vertices you want to weld. select edit polygons -> merge vertices, then, with the vertices still selectec edit polygons -> merge multiple edges after that the seams should be gone. |
