Hey, any help with patches?...

Hey every1 there, I started modeling an Audi TT (Modeling method is patches) , what i couldnt figure out is how to make any lines for doors, windows, rooftop, arcs and whatever..
-I tried to select the roof patch, for example, and to extrude it in and out ( -0.1 in, 0.1 out )
-what I got (with the mesh smooth option+1 iteration) was not what i wanted.
There's a file attached to show what the prob. is.
-The corners should be sharp and not round, incase you dont know...

Any suggestions? Pleeaase!!!

Patch modeling

Well,it's kind'a like, a patch... if you don't have 3dmax-i don't know how it goes in other applications.
-there's a patch with 4 edges,4 vertics and one poligon and you just use it' i guess' for whatever you need.
It has nice results but it takes tons of time because you have to adjust every little detail - NIGHTMARE!!!
anyway, i guess i'll change my modeling method...
