Juiced Demo -- Yay or Nay?

I downloaded the demo the other day...personally, the things that impressed me were the graphics and the physics. The fact that they included a Celica SS-1 AND a '98 Supra in the selection JUST FOR THE DEMO made me hot in the pants.

On the otherhand, NFS: U2 has the upperhand with moddability, and the fact that people will continually rip parts from it...though, the Drift and Drag modes definitely make for an enjoyable game from the start.

Personally, I can't wait for Juiced and NFS: U2 to be competing (that is, if Acclaim doesn't go bankrupt beforehand!) this Fall, as well as having GTA 6 and DIII goodness to even more accelerate the half-life of my keyboard.

Yeh, the graphics look quite nice, but the physics still suck, its just so unrealistic, you drive the Supra from 0-270km/h in less than 8secs man, cmon, thats impossible.

As for physics of NFSU and NFSU2, they will even suck more

Why dont they make a game with real life physics etc, much better

I do actually think that the physics are rather good in Juiced, but i use a wheel, maybe u dont, ive tried it with keys, and may i say....: Chaos, fast cars, slow steering, making it impossible to turn when u want to, and RWD cars, cheeezes, spin-around the christmas-tree.

I do have 2 problems with the official Juiced demo, 1, no sound, AT ALL, i have up to date drivers, on 2 different audiocards, but still no sound, a friend of mine has got sound though, but only idle when driving!. Ive also tried the softwaresound-version, no success.

The other problem is as soon as i want to see a replay the demo jumps out to window, a quick way to exit the game, but.....

I had none of these problems with the leaked beta-version of the demo, altough my friend couldnt start it instead.

The graphics are really good, the damage-engine seems to be nice to, with both scratches and heavy damages to both the body, and the steering(for example), but still, the parts havent yet fallen off, but i guess this will happen in the final version.

Two words: IT SUCKS!
It looks bad, you don't have any sence of speed, the cars are nice though, but then again, the physics are even worse than NFSU :S
So I won't buy it for sure..

Yeah. I tried the demo a while back and hated it. No way to setup my steering wheel. How useless is that. A driving game that doesn't support your wheel..

Yeah, the games does crash when using the Replay, or even the Restart functions.

I'll personally be waiting for NFS: U2 before I decide which I like better.
