hey ppl i am still new to 3ds max and have a whole lot Q's
.k i am trying to make a car (nissan 350z) and there r spots in the car that i need them to B Lowered such as on the hood we have 2 stripes that were lowered abit...
when i am trying to do that and aply meshsmooth it get realy messy and there r some sharp edges need in the car wich i dunno how to do as well (as i said mesh smooth mess the **** up) any can help me with those problems or give me a good exaple of how to do that?? and 1 more question: is there something that can smooth my car accept mesh smooth?? |

I know this tutorial actually i think that there is only few ppl that didn't saw it yet
![]() but the only prob is that i use a different technique i use polygon modeling and he uses box modeling i just need the asnwer to my questions |

Well, when you're saying poly modelling, do you mean the method where you start from a plane and extending the edges to have a form?
If so, this tutorial might help you: http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials/fiat500/fiat500.asp and I'd mention that the end results of boxmodelling a car and polymodelling the car should roughly be the same. What is really important to consider is how you manage your polygons on your model such as their spacings, regularity, etc. Good luck! |
