Tablet question

I have just bought a genius G-Pen F610 Drawing Tablet. My question is does anybody on the forum use one to design their cars and is it compatible to use in 3d max.

Well a tablet can work with mainly anything. Only time I use a tablet is when I am working in mudbox or zbrush. Otherwise a mouse an keyboard do the trick as far as modeling inside max goes. I am pretty sure you can use it to paint in max, but I would recommend you using mudbox or zbrush for painting...

Would have to agree that using a keyboard and mouse does make it easier to work on 3d max. Just the Tablet have hot spot buttons that allow me to customize so that I can use it for what ever purpose like magnify or cut.

I'm know it going to be a pain in the ass in the beginning but I think it might be useful.

so you reach across to your tablet for those keys?

I have my binds such as
D = edge constraint
w = cut
e = weld
r = target weld
and the main one ctrl+c = collapse.
My hand never leaves keybaord
