Mirror geometry issue
I am hoping somebody would be able to help me with this...
I am modeling a geometrical shape so i modeled half of it and then i did mirror geometry. My problem is that now when i want to move verticies on only one side of that shape, it automaticaly selects the other half as well and moves them around. How can i keep modeling only one side without altering the other one at the same time? thanks. |

You could try what thehsbharadwaj and CG_Ghost said, but here are a couple other things you could do.
1. If you want to mirror your geometry, then you could go into the tool settings for the move tool and turn on reflection (see attachment). Now when you move stuff on one side, the other side will do the same. The downside to this way is that snapping will not reflect onto the other side. Also, sometimes reflection doesn't work 2. Model one side, then when you want to see what it looks like, delete the faces on the other side of the object, go to object mode and mirror over again. ![]() WIPs: KTM X-Bow Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversario (preview video)(gameplay video) Lamborghini Murciélago and LP640 (on hold) Lamborghini Gallardo Sypder (on hold) |
