Hi!!

i've made 3d rims, i hope they look better then the textured ones. I had alot problem with them because i wanted to make a good sport rims but it took too many polygons and i didn't want to go over the limits. With these simple rims the Audi is still under the limit. Somehow my rims still looks like as a textured ones but thats all i could do

I want to wish you guys all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and see you next year i'll post renders tomorrow!!!

Update!

Hi all,

interesting contest, I've got a question. What has to be made with those 20k tri's? Only exterior, or also interior and maybe an engine?

Hi,

If you want i replace them to a few lighter ones, I though about that thread but its already finished for me. I don't want to texture it, because i am not too good at materials and textures. But f i find some info how to texture a car like this and how to creat nice materials i'll make a thread and show how is my audi.

Thanks for the advices, i'll use them!!!!!

Best regards

I'm also In! I'm currently working on a ford escort MK1, but i don't know if it will be the car for the contest, As i never did old cars before and i'm having some problems with getting it really smooth! Is it allowed to do multiple cars for the contest?

And FlashG, when do you update your model ? Really curious how your project is going

You choose. I say you should make one though; more of a challenge to get it into the polycount, and the final product is better in my opinion. Not making an interior and spending those poly's on the exterior is the easy way out if you ask me

As Xoliul said. You don't necessary have to make an interior aswell but it will always be extra. Even simple one would be nice

Well, I'm new to 3d modeling, and new to this forum. I've done several models using tuts and other aids, but I think this would be a great chance for me to model my first car on my own. . . . I'm in!!

I will model a BMW M1

If I am allowed, I'm in with an Audi A2.

But the thing is, the A2 is going to be customised as a race car. Would that be acceptable or does it have to be a stock race/road vehicle?
