Weekly Write-Up - 20/04/2008

What a week it's been, huh? Mountains have flocked into SMC and devulged their creative works into our forums, in particular, our Contest forums. Just some minor tid-bits to touch on this week, so for those of us that aren't too pre-occupied with counting down days until GTA IV is released, this Write-Up should get you through the week with what's going down here at SMC!!

Bongs & Bongos...

That's right, our very first SMC Back-2-Back Contests kicked off at the start of last week and what a sight it's been around here. Obviously the Psychedelic 60s Contest is off to quite a colourful start with some truly amazing works being shown, which has lead some to believe that the Band Car Battle Contest is creeping around in it's shadows. DON'T BE FOOLED. I personally know of quite few people who are keeping their ideas under wraps until they can blast our faces off with something face-blastingly awesome that they post in the Contest's WIP section, so don't be afraid of entering... better yet, why not enter both??

Don't forget that the Winners will recieve their very own Official hand-crafted SMC Medal, designed by SMC's very own Niray.


The Law...

Something that we usually don't like touching on here at SMC but simply sometimes can't be avoided is enforcing the SMC Rules. We've noticed a small slip lately in certain posts and Users, and it's not something to be taken light-heartedly.

So we're ask all Users to please familiarise yourself with these Rules if you choose to stay on SMCars.net, and please do not take it to heart if you recieve a warning or such from a Moderator/Administrator. All we want is for SMCars.net to be a great place for everyone to talk about their passions and opinions, and if everyone can make sure they always consider others whilst on here, I think we'll be well on our way to achieving this goal!!


Happy Birthday, Mr. President...

For a week that most of you spent working and/or 3D-ing it up, one man we all know partied to his heart's content ALL week with celebrities, super-models and the Jackass crew whilst wearing nothing but a Fred Flinstone costume and a novelty beer-dispensing helmet in celebration of his Birthday...

A gi-normous Happy Birthday goes out to one of our oldest (literally now ) members and Administrators of SMCars.net, Johnas!!
