2005 Internation Auto Show at Chicago

Hey, everyone. I don't now how many are here in the states, or more specifically, the Midwest US, but I was wondering if anyone else was going to make this years International Auto Show at McCorrmick Place in Chicago. It's on the 11th - 20th. For all who can't make this one or any of the International Auto Shows this year, write down cars that you want reference pics for and I'll see what I can do when I go.

I might be able to make it there. But if it's like the last time (too many kids too young to drive even, vandalism of open production models, and the crowd of people that somehow manages to show up any time a camera is turned on), I might be better off just watching the WGN thing on TV.

hmm is there a list available of what cars will be there? The people here probably dont know the cars so they dont know what to ask for, at least thats my take on it

It's not that, it's just that unless you can get in for the special showings - it's not as good as it should be. When its open to the general public it's hard to get a good picture or stuff on some cars ends up broken/missing. Even without the crowds, some cars are just hard to get a good picture of because the way the display is set up. There's always some barricade or something in the way.

But if you can manage a few good pictures, go ahead. I'm all for it.

I'll try to get as many reference pics as I can. My dad has a super expensive digital slr camera that he uses to take nice high resolution pics with. We'll use that one to make sure we get as much detail in the pics as we can. Aside from the reference pics are there any general pictures of cars that people want? I'm not sure what cars will be there. I've been trying hard to stay away from the car magazines so that any super new concepts are a suprise to me. Stock cars... noway... HAve you seen the news, there are way more things, like Hydrogen cars (kart ook) the newest lambo ferrari and some more great sport cars. PLus the fact they will show the future cars. Ther will be a total of 650 cars.

And what is ETS? Never heard of that.... is that a truck show??

ETS= European Tuning Show.
Its gonna feature the Jun Drag R33 with over 1000hp. The Top Secret R33 will also be there
From what i understand, Dennis from driftworks is gonna be there with his 180sx. There will also be at least 2 fresh imports from Japan.
Patrick's Sil-80, and Eugene's S14 Strawberry (with keichii tsuchiya's autograph on the steeringwheel ). Eugene's old car (a green Del Sol with turbo) is also gonna be there, together with Joe Djien's Orange S14.
If its going to be like last year, there will also be enough skylines and supras to drool on . Like last year, there will also be a Workshop (they did an S15 front-end conversion on a 200sx last year )
