Ye, 50 gig is abit extreme, but it also means that movies they put on blue ray and HD DVD can be streamed at a much higher bitrate. leading to much better clarity and a higher definition, more than dvd's

Well IMO, Blu-Ray will give developers more space and option because you really never know how much space you'll need. Perhaps most of the first gen games for PS3 will be on DVD just like when PS2 came out, they were on CD and then moved on to DVD. It's really hard to predict the future of technology so I'll wait and see. There's a really good thread over at beyond3d.com, can't find it at the moment but a very good read because they are people who work in the industry and knows what they are talking about.

Id rather spend my money on my PC, games consoles suck in comparison. The ingame stuff looks unimpressive compared to some of the new graphics for PC, stuff like FEAR, Doom 3, Quake 4, the Cryengine 2 and the unreal 3 engine. IF i was going to buy a console it would be by a LONG shot the PS3. Its running on nVidia graphics, IMO far suppirior to ATi. Also playstations bring out titles such as Gran Tourismo, GTA (earlier than other consoles) and Metal Gear Solid. One flaw with the ps3 the controller lmao.

Anyways back to my pc, the thing that created your console games muhaha,

But in PC you have t fear will some game run on it... In consoles you dont have to worry about it (maybe then if the game sucks)

xbox 360 in game is just as good as all those game mentioned, take splintercell4 that coming out for example (it has been delayed since they want to improve on graphics) and famous ghost recon will have better graphics than most gaming computers can handle.

dont underestimate these new machines, and the ATI NVIDIA battle has no change in consoles, since these videocards are not being sold in market and they are just similiar in architecture but the technology is outstanding.

give it a few months and the technology will be old, directx10 is out in the near future, xbox360 will turn in to the difference between pc and xbox now.
