Re: What Car Would You Get
I'd say Civic because I like the new ones better than the Scion Tc, though only by a little bit.

Re: What Car Would You Get
Stay away from scion, no substance only marketing strategies there. Can't go wrong with a honda and there are loads of things to do to it if you want to tune. You really should look into certified pre-owned stuff, you might be able to grab an RSX in that price-range if you go used. If you can get past some people's opinions VW has some nice cars with stuff like the Jetta GLI that use the 1.8 turbo engine which has TONS of tuning options, and the car looks great stock (although it would have to be used since they changed the jetta to its new uglier body).
Best advice is to test drive everything possible, even cars above or under your pricerange. When I was looking for my car I drove i think around 20 cars (in addition to the dozens I had driven before) including the new 530i, an RSX type-S, 2001 audi S4, 2005 A4, toyota tacoma, ford ranger and explorer sport-trac, lexus IS, honda accord, subaru impreza and forester. I ended up with a Nissan Xterra but the experience of driving all of those other cars gave me the info I needed to pick what was right for me. Also, used doesn't mean used-up. I'm the second owner of my xterra and I havn't had a single mechanical problem with it, its a 2001 which I picked up last year but it only had 15k miles on it. In a lot of cases you can get more car for the money when you go used, as long as you make sure its not a lemon. |

Re: What Car Would You Get
lol... i read honda PERFORMANCE somrwhere on here and i just had to laugh. i drive a stock 98 civic (standard of course) and the only thing i would ask from it is good gas mileage. which it does, at 32 mpg. with a turbocharger, big ass body kit and fancy electronics, not only will it be heavy and suck up more gas but it will still be a slow car. for 21g why not buy an old hot rod and restore it. no replacement for displacement baby

I would buy Sierra Cosworth or a old Corolla like GT Corolla
Or a rally escort/Startet/corolla would be nice too.and zmodeler55676: Toyota is much better than ricer Hondas. LOL |

Between the Scion and the Honda... well, Honda. Better engine and a whole lot more of tune-up parts. However why a Civic Si when you can buy an older Type-R?
Wow for 21,000 i bet you can even find a couple of FD3S (or 12,000 if you lived in europe and wanted to travel to germany). |
