newbie/problme

hi everyone,
i have a 88, toyota pickup. i got it from a buddy a few months ago. yesterday it stoped running because it is not getting fuel. i traced it back to the fuel pump and found out that the problem lies between the pump and the battery(in the electrical system). does anyone here know what the promblem is.

I'd say; check all the wiring, if you are sure it's something with the electrics. Also check if your fuses are intact.
I'm no technical wonder, but this sounds logical to me.
