How Do you feel about Mp3s?

I guess record companies have a reason to be pissed off. But I think they ripped us ( the consumer) off for years with overpriced cds. I have like 600 mp3s on my computer. And if I like a band enough, I will go out and buy the cd. A bought cd sounds much better in my car than one Ive burned.

How Do you feel about Mp3s?

here is what i hear i will paste it here:

here's whats going on:

A December appeals court ruling stating the RIAA could not force ISP's to reveal the identities of file-swappers under the DMCA has seemingly eroded some of the group's intimidation factor. The RIAA sent a letter to fifty of the largest ISP's last month asking them to forward on file-trading warnings to subscribers, and so far not a single ISP has agreed to cooperate. The letter is specifically designed to tip-off parents of younger broadband file traders in the hopes of stopping downloading before legal action is necessary. "Specifically, when we determine the IP address of an infringer, we would like to send you the IP address along with a Notice of Infringement that you would forward directly to the subscriber matching that address," the letter says. "You would not identify the subscriber to us. However, we believe if you forward the Notice to them it will dramatically increase awareness and effectively discourage continued infringement." It's not by surpise to my eye's that people are ignoring the RIAA now beacuse they have lost a law-suit.

How Do you feel about Mp3s?

Since its so rare to see a good full length album these days I tend to donwload a song or two from lots of various albums ... if an album is good enough I'll buy it though.

The music industry is one of very few businesses where you can get away with an inferior product ...

How Do you feel about Mp3s?

I like so many different songs of so many different artists that there isn't any artist that as a complete album with songs I like there usually are only 2-3 songs max that I like on an album so I would download if I could but since I only have iTunes and I don't live in the US I can't download any songs since you can only download from iTunes in the US.

How Do you feel about Mp3s?

Basically there good reasons for MP3's like for bands that albums arent available in some countries and they may have fans there and the only way the can hear the stuff is through mp3's. Also you will find CD Sales alone dont even come close making back the money some artists spend on recording a album, Touring is there best way of making money back on an album release then sales of the album itself.
Basically I dont mind MP3's as long as if you like the band buy there album and surport them by going to there gigs.
Some Artists dont seem to see that the good side of MP3's is that more people are exposed to there music therefor bringing them a bigger turn out at there shows.
