Graphics course?

Hello, I am interested in doing a graphics design course as I would prefer a qualification other than having to show a company what I can do in 3D and 2D working with Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk 3Ds max.
I have been looking for a while but have come up with very little UK based home courses that could be submitted via email or post. The best one I have found so far is one offered by ICS £529.00, Interested in this as the programme used is 3ds max and teaches 3d design and animation with a qualification at the end of it. This is the sort of thing I am looking for

So if anyone has any names of courses and/or web links I would be very great full

Thanks, James

Good luck with finding that course.

I graduated as a graphic designer, And after doing 4 years in college i tried finding a position with an agency here in Canada. It's been two years and I have yet to set foot in an agency. They all say the same thing, no experience (field work) no job, even for the assitant positons.

So now I do freelance work here and there and about a year ago i took it apon myself to learn 3dmax. And after that year I seen a dramatic improvement in my modeling. I may decided to to a course to learn the animation side of things.

Anyhow, like I said earlier good luck with that maybe England is better understandiing when it comes to entry level postions. I can tell you Canada does give a danm for new employments.

Imo...education can really get you that far if all you think is that it will guarantee you a job right off the bat...when I was in school my main goal was to establish my own little industry network while learning the stuff from school with some independent learning of my own...it was my work outsde of school and experience that got me my first entry level position.
