Model Cars *56k Warning*

I also have a certain number of assembled and unassembled kits (mostly 1:24 and 1:25) Does anyone have experience in digitizing them for making 3D-models?
I'm not talking about scanning with a flatbed scanner (poor results) or 3D scanners (too expensive).

Designers of the past used certain devices to obtain geometry of the clay models (http://www.huffreport.com/allnewstuf....com_cord1.jpg).

Have anyoneone tried something like that?

3D digitizer would be really nice "toy" ...but it costs 3000-5000 euros :?

get ready to be pwnd (sorry for big pics)

i have around 1500 scale cars, i am member of the Peruvian Club Of Scale Cars, i dont have pics of my model kits, when i get some time i will take some pics of them and from my other cars, btw in the pics it seem i have 3 F50's, but i only got two, in the first and second pic the same one appears in two different places

Paying someone to do all of the work on your car and feeling proud when it runs a fast time is like paying someone to fu*k your wife and feeling proud when she has her baby
