I'm thinking in buying this computer (Midtower only)

-Motherboard p/PIV ECS P4S5ADX c/ FSB 533 (don't understand a word of this)
- Intel PIV 2.4GHz 512Kb FSB 533
-HD 60.0Gb UDMA 7.200 rpm
-CDR-W 40x10x40x ide bulk
-DVD 16x48x
-Memory DDR 256MB PC 333MHz
-Geforce IV MX 64 DDR
-sound 16 Bits Onboard

Price (Midtower only not includes monitor and all that stuff) - 969,99 euros (970 USD)

What do you think? Is it a good buying?

That sounds like a good deal, I already bought a 1.8HGZ P4 cost about $1700 in total... got it the beginning of this year... I don't think I'll be getting a new computer until next year...

I kinda bought the case the motherboard, ram, P4 proccessor in a package, then I added my drives and sounds and video cards...so yeah that''s a good deal... mines didn't come with a monitor either... But you might want to change the GF4 MX to Ti, I have GF4 MX440 and it's not fast enough for newer games... it runs it well and playable but not smooth enough.

Hehe well neither do I, have no clue at all. I just buy a motherboard that is correct socket when I build a new CPU.

hey zizo, that sounds a bit expensive.

-Motherboard Gigabyte GA-7VAX KT400 for AMD - €130
-AMD Athlon XP 2000+ €130
-HD 60.0Gb UDMA 7.200 rpm €125 (i got mine for 110 )
-CDR-W 40x10x40x ide bulk €60? no idea about this price
-DVD 16x48x €55
-Memory DDR 256MB PC 333MHz €95
-Geforce IV ti4200 128 MB VIVO - bought one for €1
-sound blaster live! 5.1 €40

thats a total of about €820? and you get a much better videocard, i bet that this computer is faster than the P4 with that gf4 mx
