I want to look into the possebillity to create a SMC book.

I've got some connections in that world and was chatting with someone who might be intrested in a book about the art of creating game cars and high poly cars.

With a small story added on some of the famous games and the mods created for them like NFS, and the F1 series.

There will also be a gallery for high poly cars in it.

The idea is to sell it here on SMC and some other places who participate in it.
There will be no money for anyone who helps with this book but, the profit wil be trown into SMC :!: (if we can get profit of it :twisted: )

It's just an idea i've been walking around since I became Admin of SMC.

how does something like that sound??

and most of all, would you buy it??

I can not just vot vote for this subject. I'll explain why.

The idea is good. In fact, I had a similar idea for some time. The problem is who would buy the book and why.

There should be something else than just pictures in the book (no mater how good they are). For example, a very simple tutorial on how to make cars for games. I doubt that it is possible to include the blueprints in the book. But since a lot of people have modelled cars here, it is possible to include the renders of cars from all positions without perspective. And the specifications for the cars. Than that sort of book is an extremely valid reference, and I guess you can even make some profit with it. I would personally buy that sort of book.
