Anyone know what this tilt-rotor is?

I took some pictures of this weird tilt-rotor aircraft. (Try not to mind the other stuff around it or the vehicle in front of it. The building where it is located is a bit small and cluttered - relatively speaking.) It's a full scale mock-up of what is supposedly a Russian counterpart to the Osprey. The small military museum where it's located only calls it "the prototype", but surely even concept aircraft get a name or possible designation. Anyone know what it is? And if you do, is there any info on it?

Got no idea myself but .. looking at that place it looks like a prophouse. That vehicle in the front ( which looks really sweet) looks a bit too futuristic and hollywood pizaz to be real.. But thats what it looks like to me. LOL obviously you know more since you took it but I thought Id chime in.

I think i know what it is, its a concept Plane, which is propelled with rotor's. The rotor's are able to tilt 90 Degrees, 45 and flat. It has an ability to take off like an helicopter, but have a speed of an airplane. There is info it, but its mainly American, not sure what its called.

I agree with IceKid, it's probably not a real plane. And no, et_fone_home, it's not an Osprey.

I think the engine tilt axle is way too much at the rear, making the plane uncontrollable. And the air intakes on the top of body are wrongly placed, unless you have a jet-engine in the rear end. Which is unlikely because of the gunner location.

I vote for a storage room full of old mockups made for movies. The epoch of the Jeep in front of the plane looks quite different, so it can't be a museum. And as the plane doesn't have any tail (which is so rare on real planes), it finishes to convince me of it being only a movie model.

Paul : you got any more pictures from that place, I was very curious and decided to search online to see if I could find anything. I know Ive seen that jeep type vehicle before. But after studying the pictures its chocked full of things that make a nosy person like me happy. For instance in the background to the far right are models of NASA spacecraft, there is a motorcycle in the forefront.
