I like the pictures too.
Especially the chain picture that makes good use of tonal values and texture. --Now on the topic of B&W in general (This mainly applies to B&W newbs.) -- Some people think that using B&W isn't much different than color, but that's not really the case. If you're not doing B&W digitally, you'll want to keep this in mind when buying your B&W film. Unless you're in a big city where you can find a REAL photo lab (as in a place with an actual darkroom and people who know more about processing than loading some machine and pressing a button) - you might want to make sure you buy C-41 process B&W (look at the small print on the box.) If not you'll be waiting a long time for your film to be processed (it has to be mailed somewhere), which can be a PITA sometimes. (Know this from experience. LOL!) Another thing to be aware of when using B&W is the use of filters. If you get an idea of what you're doing - you can really manipulate the tonal value of certain colors by using the right filters and adjusting exposure accordingly. It's a good way to completely change the mood or focus of a picture. Some people don't understand that the pros occasionally do this, and then wonder why they can't achieve the same results. (This also applies to using some specialized B&W films with different spectrum sensitivity.) |

Look at my b&w photos. I use a film reflex camera so I had to scan the photos. On paper they look much better

Think of old topics as museum pieces, they are better left for just viewing...
