Murcielago!!!!

Hi all,

Just discovered the fantastic blueprint forum a week or so ago and though I'd have a go at the Lambo!! Still working on the front valance and some interior detail plus the reflections need tweaking, hope you like the results so far!

Cheers,

Josh.

PS - Referred to a great tutorial at

Murcielago!!!!

looks good , but why did you use patches??? polys or nurbs are alot better
but you seem to be pulling it off w/ patches

Murcielago!!!!

Thanks for the comment! I read the tutorial on the TT and thought I'd try out the patch technique. Only just 'progressed' from box modelling. I just gotta get my head around nurbs now, hmm, where did all my sleep go??

BTY - noticed a few threads on the problems with 'white' blueprints. Here's a technique that works for me. This darkens the white areas without compromising the outline integrity.

Using Photoshop (similar packages will also do this i think), open the image and select the whole image. Copy it and paste it onto a new layer (making sure they line up!). Under the layer tab, select 'exclusion' from the drop down list and set the trasparency to about 15%. Flatten the image and save it as a JPG.

Murcielago!!!!

Well, maybe your way of darkening images is easier then it sounds, hehe, but - why dont you just create a new layer, paint it grey, and at the top of the layer panel it says "Normal" with a drop-down list, click that and go up to "Multiply" and u got darker prints
