1948 Ford CabOverEngine Truck

Used some of the blueprints found in the mercury area here, but found out it might be a 48 Ford truck.

So here are my renders. nearly finished.

thanks fo the comments so far.

Icekid: right now it is the position like on the blueprints.
photos of this car are very rare stuff.

got one 1947 build up by Boyds Crew

take a look. http://www.classictrucksweb.com/features/0407cl_48ford/

what i want to do in the end is a 60's race transporter for one of the bikes i did.

I will post them when finished.

Looks great so far. I guess this thing isn't going to be transporting bikes without a driveshaft .

Is that 'orange peel' paint effect intentional? If so it looks nice.

Yep i like to have this effect on it. Just not with black color. going for a light washed blue with some rust and dirt here and there.

for the driveshaft: haven't put one in because of the lack of a motor and transmission. when these are finished there will be a driveshaft also.

other things to do are headlight map. some more parts on the frame and a platform on the back for the bike to mount on.

Thanks for modelling and posting this car.
This is something I'm planning to model myself.
I don't have bluprints for coe truck, but judging from the photos (sideviews) from a book on all Ford trucks, the shape of the back of the cab in your model seems strange to me. Is it really like that?

needs to be rounder! thanks for the advice. blueprints can be found in the mercury area of smcars. see the truck prints and then the really last one.

no better prints. i posted a print of a chevy COE truck. somedays ago.
maybe this helps.

If you can provide photos of the back or even the whole truck it would be nice if you do so.
