My third car made in Max 5, the two first ones sucked so badly that I don't want to show 'em to you guys...

Anyway, it's a '38 Topolino with a blown smallblock chevy V-8. I tried to model it so that it could actually be built in real life. Don't know what it would be like to drive it tho...

C&C most welcome!

WOW, i love the detail in the engine. Great work for only your third car!

Awesome job but i must agree on the rear treading. It´s like you had welded three tires together.
Is there an interior to match?
Anyway, topnotch model and render.
Now i am curious to see the first ones

I had a little trouble with the rear tires, so there could be something wrong with them... Or then it's just the camera angle... must check.

The model has a simple interior too, nothing special though, just enough so that the car wouldn't look too empty. I can post images of the interior also if you like.

I will post my first two models also, but i must warn you, they really aren't that great. I just played about my brother's computer without reading any tutorials (except the ones with the program). Now I have a computer of my own, so I did a little research (I read all the tutorials I could find) before this project.

Anyway, I will post a few pics of them tomorrow...

BTW, I'm thinking of getting a better renderer... what would you recommend? Mental-ray? I'm using just the default scanline renderer for now, and I thought that the results could be better with something else.

The interior may be simple but is very well done.
As for a rendering solution i would definitely recommend VRay. It has a fast rendering GI which adds a lot to the scene.
Not that bad yout first two models, not at all. The penchant for American Rodders is evident.
Be sure to show us your next project!

Thanx! The next project is on it's way, I'll show it to you as soon as I something to show. (propably next week or so...) The release of Gran Turismo 4 may mess up my schedule a bit, but I'll try to get something done
