Stock Car Brasil - Astra(GP4)

Hello SMCars,

This is the Chevrolet (Opel in europe) Astra modified for the Stock Car Brazil. Some of us already saw one of this some months ago, and a really beauty work. This is my version, made for the game Geoff Crammond Grand Prix 4. I used Newtek Lightwave 3D 7.0, hope you like !

That's it, I'm tying to improve my photrealism, I made a great jump till my last render. Suggestions? Oppinions?

first of all i dont know y u keep calling it stock if its a modified race car, and second, not bad job at texturing, but the front looks too wierd, and something looks wrong with headlights

mpfive, the lights are painted because they don't use them!! All races are under the sunlight!

@mpfive: Hummm, the mapping of frontlights aren't very good, I'll improve it, and the front, what is weird? Please, be more specific, then I can improve my model. This name "Stock Car" came from the past, when the cars are the same as street ones, except for the reinforcements of structure. But now is totally different cars, as you can see, the headlights are fixed on the hood, like Rvieira said, and all the top front part is removed, not only the hood of street Astra. Really, there is not reason to call them Stock Cars anymore, but NASCAR (NAtional Stock CAr Racing) commited the same "mistake" . At the front I got a reflection effect that wasn't desired on the coolers.

I get what you're saying mpfive, and I'm from the U.S.
Stock cars here have been anything but since the 1960's. SCCA racing is where you see the real production cars being raced (and they don't just turn left either), unfortunately they don't seem to get the TV time or the big sponsors.
