How do I load textures?
How would I load textures In Lightwave?
When i render a car with textures the render comes out a really ugly color white... when im in perspective mode i can see the textures nice n perfect, but when i try to render it just comes out white(and lil spots of color, but not even close to what its supposed to lok like) , as if there was no textures.... LIGHTWAVE! |

What rendering technique are you using for your beauty ??
The problem seems to be the material settings in the Reflections/Specularity tabs. They appear to be too high. Or the light source is too near to your model. If you are using AreaLight, you have to resize (yes, you read well) it and you have to move it VERY FAR from you model. Try these settings: use 2000 for size in every slot (X,Y,Z), hit "5" (Light view) and rotate the light so you can view the car, then (not before the rotation) move it more than 1km far from the car (X,Y,Z). This light simulates the sun very well, but the sun is BIG and very DISTANT !!! If you are using HDRI instead, try to rotate the .hdr playing with settings in ImageWorld so the light direction can change. Last but not least, try to render it with different body colors, so you can see how to change the Specular value. Infact the Specular point is WHITE, and if your car is white you cannot understand how to tweak it !!!. Grab the SurfaceEditor screenshot so we can see your surface values. Hope it helps. How do I load textures?
i tried everything you said and no luck
i would give you a screenshot of my surface values but i doubt it would help since the color of the letters are yellow on a white backround(help!) am i supposed to see the textures on the sphere?? (in surface editor) any way my surface values are -color - 192, 192, 192 -luminosity - 16.5 -diffuse - 48 -specularity - 25 -glossyness - 65 -reflection - 28 |

How do I load textures?
I think the problem would be the luminosity value... Set it to 0.
Mail me the model (or the piece with the textures), the textures and the scene, so I can try some tweakin' in my PC. I want to help you to find a solution. Bye. dppd69@tiscali.it |

How do I load textures?
no matter how low everything is, it wont appear correctly, and i cant send it to you because its not my model
but i can send you another model with the same problem...OR... could it be when i export the 3ds file out of zmod that it messes up???im so confused :? |
