Very nice, it looks excellent. One thing that I think slightly detracts from it is the checkers, towards the back they make a pattern which takes you eye off the nice car, but sitll , very cool.

Sweet work is that Deep Exploration program? If so the lighting to me looks pretty good I never can figure out how to get lighting the way I want it in that program. About your poll.... cant answer since Ive not learned nurbs

it's probly rendered in Maya. that checker pattern is one of the default textures you can apply in Hypershade. so that could be why the lighting looks different than anything in DeepExp.

the poll...hmmm....here's what i have to say to that. Polies are easier to make cars with, cuz it's all one piece. However, it's much harder to get perfect normals/reflections with polies. Nurbs render perfectly by definition, though they just have a more time-consuming work process. I love nurbs, just too bad they're so darned hard.

it realy depends on what u want to achieve.
I prefer nurbs, but i have to say that using polys it is more easy to evaluate the shape of the car body.
If u have the overall shape of the car body modelled with nurbs (this can be a hard job) it is VERY easy to integrate finer details like holes, corners etc.

but since this forum is mostly used by game modellers it is clear that the poll shows polys as the best way to go

nice day

C.

Nice... nice...
Though the proportion is wrong...
Don't people use reference anymore???

I can't say if I like NURBS or polymodeling better, cause I've never used NURBS...
