Re: Light Wave problem - lens flares

Are you sure you've turned on reflections in the render options panel?

The attached file was done in 2 mins...........modelling the ball, adding the floor* and adding a bit of texture to it, so we can see the outer edge of the ball.

*EDIT* crap* I just noticed you meant lens flares............... well then ........... In the post processing tab in the effect window.........That doesn't really have enything to do with this

Adjust your balls glossiness to be really low, while keeping the reflection and specualrity high. That'll spread the flare on the ball

I've tried several things, none of which work..
I'm quite curious now.. Perhaps ask on LWG3d, mostly you get an answer within a day

Re: Light Wave problem - lens flares

im just guessing, but from what ive seen a lens flare always results from a really bright light, and i dont think that chrome ball would be a big enough source. also in real like i dont think lens flares are reflected off of a surface either.

Re: Light Wave problem - lens flares

Just get a chrome ball and look at the sun in one moment, you will see lens flare. Look at your car, it is full of lans flares over his body (metal - car paint) if sun is enough bright. That is what i wont
