This work is getting quite old now, yet I keep on making new renders without updating the actual model
It's supposed to be a type R version with the decals and spoiler, but I just got lazy and stopped working...Maybe I shall continue later...

Program: 3DSMAX 4.2 + Brazil HDRI
Polycount: Please don't ask

WOW, great work! but if it has a massive polycount, why not give it 3d headlights? and put some perspective in the first renders and itll look a lot better.....
keep up the good work!

The model looks sweet, good job on that one

The renders could use some more bounces on the light. The first two ones have a pretty strange perspective though ... have you activated Orthographic Projection on your camera maybe ?

The_Newmanator: The headlight IS in 3D
The problem is that before I made that render, I wasn't considering the refraction that the headlight covers would make. When you set some transparency onto Brazil material, it automatically turns on the refraction feature, so you manually have to remove it by changing the IOR. I hate that feature (as refractive glasses are almost useless on cars), but I gotta live with it...
Bjolletts: Yeah, I agree that the image is too dark...though that render alone took 6 hours, which means an extra few hours of rendering with more light bounces...:?
Perhaps when I get better PC and learn to output better image with less time, I'll make some more new (and better) renders.

As for the perspective on first two images, well I'm not sure why they look such way, but the camera does have the perspective...I'm guessing it's the angle I took the shot in.

Hehe, thank you for your replies, guys!
Cheers!

nice car. i think its a good pick, but can we see your wire frame? it looks like your mesh has some bumps near the back. also it seems like the hood is a bit mis shaped.

Nice. I quite like the shadowy effect on the last pic. Headlights work really well in that pic, too. Only things I can pick at are the mesh could do with another row of polys around some of the body details (filler plate, door handle socket, etc.) Other than that, looking very slick.

Thanks for the reply!

To be honest, I was very proud of this work at the time I made it...lol

But now that I've slightly improved I start to see the flaws all around, such as door handles, fuel cap, and very round edges.

Thanks for pointing that out, and I'll return with better work in the future!
