Chevy HD Truck

Chevy HD modeled by Onion...and rendered by myself. Amazing work on the model!

the paint material looks like it's shifting colours to me. also, the glass on the headlight seems to be wrong since i hardly know it's there. finally, the chevy emblem needs some reflections. other than that, it's a nice render.

Ibeam here is try #2 The light lens is hidden with the bumper guard so not much reflection gets to it. I changed the paint because I did fade in a green/brown with the yellow on the last paint. I am having some issues with chrome and glass in vray. Any info would be great.

Thanks again,
TOUGH

the chrome looks decent enough. i'm just curious with the glass if it's a solid object (2 sides) or not because that impacts how it looks. also are you using an exterior hdri per chance?

yes the hdr is a dark lower with some light bars across. I usually use a gradient ramp grey black and white as the colors.

Render is great, model isn't : many bumps, many inconsistencies (frontlight modeled, rearlight textured)

Some shaders need work : rim's one is too simple, black paint is just too black.

Oh, one crit about render : the scene reflected in the windows, it doesn't match at all the studio setup. IMHO, you _must_ fix that.

Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster
Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4)

Pretty nice studio man, Truck looks pretty good. The Audi on the other hand, as Tom said has a lot of bumps and inaccuracies in it. Oh and welcome to the forums

i think the gradient ramp is making for better renders. you should probably try it on the chevy since the audi is hard to get excited about due to it's bumps.
