1976 Custom Mini Clubman UPDATED!!!!! 26/04/04

This is my first model and rendering of a car. I decided to create it to learn more bout 3D Max. The rendering might look a lil poor because i got a lil bit impatient with render times, the render time of this image was just under 2 minutes.

Any suggestions on improving or anything welcome.

I've just started modelling my mates Ford Focus, finding it very difficult, trying poly modelling this time instead of splines.

Update. My mates pointed out it would look much better with a pearlescent blue paint job. Any comments welcome as usual.

Its pretty simple really, you just use a gradient mep in the diffuse slot. Theres a tutorial here - http://www.danielbuck.net/

Bringing back this old and near death post. Just messing about with my first car model I did and thought this pic looked cool! Unforntunately it shows up my laziness in not completely modeling an interior!! I've redone the alloy wheels, nothing visible, just improved the mesh and reduced the faces considerably. I think I'm going to change the body of the mini to be more like the original, and I may model the engine.
