'68 Dodge Charger R\T 440 Magnum

Hi every one,

Here's my final render of a '68 Dodge Charger R\T 440 Magnum done with the blue print of a '69 Charger, so i had to make some changes to make a '68 model (front part, rear lights, side lights.....) It took me 6 weeks to do it, and it is my first car modeling (without tutorial, the first one was a Nissan 350Z, done from the tutorial on Lightwave's home page in the tuto section.
It is composed of 310000 poly and weights 12,5Mb

Excellent job, and very detailed. I'm making a 72 Challenger but its for a game.... and about err 300,000 less polys (compared to first render) anyhow great job and only thing I dont like are the labeling on the tires too big and well unrealistic but the rest looks top notch thanks for showing

Sorry for the delay of the answer, i had a lot to do with immigration stuff......

About the front light trick, there are some kind of panels in front of the headlights, wich retract when the driver lights it on.
The headlights are 2 round lights and 2 each side of the car as you can see here :

It's also a reason why i choose this car, because the headlights are hidden : i don't know how to modelise this to have a photorealistic look..... if anyone have some trick and explainations to give me, it should be kind : how to modelise the deflectorsm the glass in front wich has so complicated drawings, etc.......

The reflector itself is not that heavy to model. Just take something like a half-spere with a small ball in the middle for it. Chrome Material on it and thats all. For the Glass you just draw some Lines and youse it as a bump map.

This is a picture I used as a bump:

OK, i understand what you mean, i'll try it out....... actually that's really simple...... This is 3D, you don't have to always look for a heavy solution.......
