Yeah, have a real close look at the chamfer around the holes you will probably see 4 little triangles on each bolt hole, weld the 2 verts together to get rid of the triangle, that should fix it

found the problem!
for some reason i had way too many verts where i chamfered the holes. thanks for all the input guys!

holes fixed, with just a blinn texture. anyone know of any good chrome texture tutorials?

you might want to looks for chrome material tutorials, if you ask palat really nicely he might share the secret, imo he has really good chrome material settings

Well my first post, just started modeling:

my first one, totally NOT detailed but I like it anyways

The second is a bit more detailed and I think im starting to understand one technique
Dont know how the 2 bumps got on the center cap though, they only show up on the "render". Maybe you guys know?

I'm working with C4D now since 4 months, but never came to automobile things. It's my first rim ever, and I am pretty happy with the result, though the materials are not the best and the render is just ... meh.
