*****y problem with XSI,help me....

Hi,I've got some problem .

I want to migrate from Lightwave to XSI(got 5.11) but the problem is that when I want to load a scene FILE->OPEN Nothing happen and then window appear saying: XXXXXXXXXXblahblah blah ... could not be opened.



and on the bottom of XSI window is something like this
could create CLSID{867895-blah-blah},something moaudio.dl....cleanup will be performed.
Unable to create object Core Audio Container, Cleanup will be performed.

and after that another window with : THE SEGMENT IS NOT A VALID PROJECT.

Help me please THX in advance!

umm try e-mail softimage with your problem. I never had that happen to be before. beside when i was trying to load a 5.0 project when i was using 4.2.
But since i switched to 5.11 its never happened to me.

besides that does everything else work, saving...modeling...ect?

Make sure you are in a valid project - Try creating a new project (file-new project) then try to bring the files into that. The CLSID # is likely the 20-character code which has been integrated into your Soft license files. If you are using a "Questionable version of the software" you may have a licensing issue. Have you tried to export all your Lightwave files as OBJ's and then import them into Soft or you can try using Collada (never used it myself - but supposed to be almost seemless with other apps)

why dont you load the scene... i will try to open if for you, and see if it the file or your machine

If you performed any registry cleanup recently than the problem is there.What you need to do now is reinstall xsi and it should work.

Never mind..im replying to a really old tread, now i look like a noob.

hey,forgot to write that everything work as expected when I uninstaled quicktime, even *.obj imort work as intended.
