max vs. rhino, maya, lightwave, ext....

ok i have been reading alot about nurbs modeling in rhino, maya, lightwave and such and was wondering... i am new to most high powered 3d modeling software, consepts like nurbs are still greek to me. i knoticed that there are nurbs tools in max 4.2 (what im learning). are they not as powerful as maya, ext... i mean why does no one use max to do nurbs?

It depends what do you want to model if you want to create a car or other similar object is rhino much better it is made for tech stuff.

I don't like nurbs in max becouse they are just not so easy to use and there is just not enough tools for me.

Max is made for polymodeling not for nurbs

    3DS MAX

max vs. rhino, maya, lightwave, ext....

Max just doesnt have the tools to use NURBS, Rhinceros and Maya are made for NURBS.
    Max is mostly Polymodeling
But Nurbs are just way better than polies, you just need to know how to use Nurbs right

Maya Unlimited is pretty good with poly too!
All the programs are good, it depends more on wich program YOU like better.
