My family owned one of these in the early '60s. They always used paintings in the brochures for British cars in those days, and the artists painted the cars much larger relative to passengers or people around the cars because it made tiny Brit cars look like vast American ones. Consumer protection or advertising standards bodies would be down on them like a ton of bricks nowadays - it really was a scam.
