Played it HEAPS least night for some reason. Felt like buring some rubber and whilst I was doing so, I found that the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo (fully upgraded) is one hell-of-a good drift car, but only at the speedway (-_-') It's a rather difficult car to keep control of going up and down hills... If you REALLY think you're a good driver, win the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve and try and race that...TRY. Power overload!!

I have noticed when trying to drift the TDU cars (probably why I played it so much last night 'cos I wanted to figure out why I couldn't drift properly), it's like the cars don't have enough power to keep the drift going, and also, if you do manage to execute a good drift, it's almost impossible to finish nicely. Most of the time the car whips out of it horribly.

Just clipped the 4,500km driven mark *proud nerdy look on face*...

...and also just purchased my 75th car *proud nerdy look on face, and slight erection 'cos all of them are sexy*...

Something caught my eye today on the LIVE market-place...'Hardcore Mode' can be purchased for 150mp, and claims to have ultra-realistic car handling for both use with a controller and wheel. Might be worth a look...I plan on buying it when I get paid this week, so I'll let y'all know how it is.

Another suggestion for TDU: Us Xbox owners SHOULD be able to transfer our photos that we take onto an external device to share with our computer TDU compadres. I clocked 431kph in the McLaren GTR today AND snagged a photo of it, however, until I get a decent monitor or TV so I can hold a camera up to it to take a photo, I'm afraid that all I can do is just verbally brag about it :-(

LoLs my favorite car in TDU is Ford GT it has some bollocks I could say and gives shivers when driving it hehe

Anyways for the PC users some good news. Krom has made .bnk unpacker which imports all data from .bnk files, surprisingly. They contain sounds and meshes for the cars. So far it is not possible to open meshfiles since there aren't working plugin for Max or Zmod. There are some issues with the copy protection or something and therefor you cannot put the files back to game yet.

Here's the Kroms site and do not upload it to anywhere else since Krom wants to keep it on his site until further notice Krom's Home - provided by rscsites.org!

Thats coo but i can get the meshes out of TDU no problem. I have done it with a merc already for the interior, and i put it in the sl65 from carbon.

EDIT: here is some pics of the merc, the smoothing is all messed up as u can see.

Well I'll be. What tool you're using?

It looks like when you import the mesh from TDU it messes smoothing groups totally

Well, I've got a Computer with a 2.2 GHz Processor and a nVidia 256 MB Graphics card, and my PC has a very hard time handling TDU(I can't even drive the cars properly).

Too bad. I hoped I can play (Processor and RAM are good, but I think that 128 MB Graphic Card is too little).

{Edit} FlashG - Thanks for hope. I'll have to try instlling it. (I've got Athlon 64 3000+ and 512 MB RAM, but I'll buy 1 GB more in couple of months.

Catlin, I am sooo close to finally upgrading to cable-internet right now, and away from my steam-powered dial-up modem, and when I do, we'll have to have a race!! You won't be able to beat my red Gallardo Spyder though...Not only 'cos I have no life and no girlfriend and therefore rock at video-games, but more importantly that it is in fact red :-P

Also too, I think it'd be cool to start posting awesome photos that you've taken in game on this thread. Mine'll be coming soon, and trust me, I've got alot ;-)

Also too, for the 360 TDU owners...Atari's Hardcore Mode download off Xbox LIVE only comes into play once you're accumilated all 1000 Gamerpoints, so be weary before you buy ;-)

I get around 20 fps with an ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB so I guess it'll run pretty okay... With low settings at least.
