I guess its my CPU, I think it can't handle too much 3d objects at once, both Max and Maya have problems with high ploy counts... Its a good thing I didn't wait 'till the 16th to buy it. |

Hey guys, the vehicles look amazing. So clean and I guess accurate. Even the terrain and roads are based on the satellite images. The games pretty fun, Ive played around 5 hours so far, I hope I dont get bored soon. A lot of people are saying it gets boring soon. All in all its a really nice game, espically the graphics and the scenery.
I had a question about the game, when the cops are after you, and your on 3 star, how do you chake them off? I tried getting off the road and still the 3 stars wont go away. Thanks in advance ![]() Let it burn. |

killerskull, it's almost impossible to lose the cops on 3-stars, and you CANNOT lose them by going off-road. I've only managed to lose a 3-star wanted level twice, and I've played it enough to have driven almost 5,000km.
As for the game getting boring...TDU is meant for car enthusiasts that simply enjoying cruising around the map, especially with your mates online. As mentioned before in this thread, if you're looking for great missions and good storyline, this game is probably not meant for you. TDU is personally favourtie driving game. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully into my driving games, and have played almost all of them, but there's something about TDU that stands out from the crowd. It's one of the first driving games where is sets up a very nice atmosphere for the player to drive in. It FEELS like you're rich, and the map FEELS tropical and hot, and most importantly, the cars FEEL fast :-D ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Pondering... ------------------------- Wheels: 1977 Ford Fairlane ZH ------------------------- System/s: PC, Xbox 360 (XBL GT: DrFe3lgo0d), PlayStation Portable -------------------------

Thanks for the reply Mr.Feelgood. yea I love the game soo far, and yes I do play any game that comes into intereste. This game does make you feel rich and it is sortof a racing RPG. Over all it does sortof give you a break of the normal racing games (NFS).

Agreed totally...You gotta take it slow, but their is a way. Just takes practice!!
I'm oersonally not a fan of mountain racing...I like my flat roads and nice, long corners. That's why my favourtie areas are the city, and the speedway. ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Pondering... ------------------------- Wheels: 1977 Ford Fairlane ZH ------------------------- System/s: PC, Xbox 360 (XBL GT: DrFe3lgo0d), PlayStation Portable -------------------------

For those that were wondering, after upgrading to 7600GT the fps suddenly at least doubled: I'm running the game at 1280x1024 and the fps is at least 40 all the time, a bit more when there's not much stuff to see. I'm using high settings with no HDR nor AA. |

Ahhh...You guys with your PCs... :-P
I have an Xbox 360, and for some odd reason, TDU runs at 60fps all the time, and in HD ;-P Just kidding guys. But yeah, I could see it being a bit of a bummer on a lower-end PC. There is alot of purdy stuff in the game, and I reckon it'd suck down video-memory like an Ethiopian with McDonalds. ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Pondering... ------------------------- Wheels: 1977 Ford Fairlane ZH ------------------------- System/s: PC, Xbox 360 (XBL GT: DrFe3lgo0d), PlayStation Portable -------------------------

i'd like to change a few of those to something better and / or higher res stuff in general. don't care about the models - for now ![]() ![]() sky / surprise! productions Sitting there watching that powder-blue and orange 917 barreling down the Mulsanne and getting squirrelly under braking was the exact moment when I stopped thinking Corvettes were the coolest cars on earth. - Don Holloway |

Hey guys,
I was doing what any normal person does in TDU by driving a Lambo Gallardo off-road when I came across this hologram of the letter 'e'...It's on the top of this cliff on the Eastern side of the map, and I have no idea what it does...If someone can find a map, I'll mark on it exactly where it is. If anyone knows what this is, let me know, a'ight? **EDIT** It's a teleporter to a small island off the coast!! Yew!! ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Pondering... ------------------------- Wheels: 1977 Ford Fairlane ZH ------------------------- System/s: PC, Xbox 360 (XBL GT: DrFe3lgo0d), PlayStation Portable -------------------------

I did a quick search on google, and this is what I found about that Island:
It's pretty much a single road on that island, and when you hit the "Return to the Road" button it will automatically put you back at that teleporter on the island. EDIT - I found another vid about that island that also shows how to get into the airports Last edited by Masakari987 : 04-21-2007 at 12:01 PM. |
