I'm suprised no-one's started a thread for this totally awesome game yet!! So here it goes,
Discuss ANYTHING Test Drive Unlimited, just like the title says. These things could be: - Your favourite car, and cars you like to drive. - Cars that are good for a particular purpose, ect, drifting. - Places you like to cruise. - Cool places you've found. - Awesome things you've done. - Any hints or tips you might have. Have fun, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this truly awesome game!! ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Shhh!! Playing GTA IV ![]() ------------------------- Wheels: Watch this space... ![]() ------------------------- System/s: PC, Xbox 360 (XBL GT: DrFe3lgo0d), PlayStation Portable -------------------------

And I'll start it off,
My avatar in the game is sooo gangsta...You know, as soon as my guy steps out of his million-dollar mansion in his off-white suit, aviator sunglasses and white sneakers, he means business :-D My favourite car in the game is by far the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. In red of course :-P It's one of my favourtie cars in real-life, and I couldn't wait to save up and buy it in the game. It's great to drive, and great to drift, although the AWD setup causes it to whip out of a drift quite harshly. One of the best places I've found to drift the Gallardo is the road coming DOWN from the Kuilei Beach Grand View house in the meteor crater. I OWN this road at drifting :-P A car that I would highly recommend for drifting however is the Noble M12 GTO-3R, and the best place for it is the Ohau Speedway. One of the first things I couldn't wait to do in TDU, even before it came out, was to cruise the runways of the airport. But sadly, when I actually got the game, the airport is completely locked off. However, there is a way of gaining entry, and the hint I'll give you is to use a motorbike :-P Once in, set a book-mark anywhere so you can spawn in with any car!! A downer about the airport runways is that unfortunately, they're dirt...or at least classed as dirt within the game's engine, so no hitting top speeds here :-( Alrighty, that's about it from me!! Oh, and drive the Ferrari 288 GTO in reverse :-P You'll know what I mean when you do it... ![]() ------------------------- Current Project: Shhh!! @CLR, missions man, good story line, all TDU is about is getting from point to point b in different types of races, SA on the other hand, and VC and GTA3 all have a story line that requires you to do so many other things that do not require driving, for example a mission in SA where you had to swim to a cargo ship and get around teh spot lights and the patrolling boats and plant a bomb or what ever, those types of mission i like, and yes, it does require driving, from the point of the mission, to the point where you jump to the water, but GTA mixes it so well together

Action/Mission games, should stick to mission games. If you want to avoid spotlights go play Splinter cell =/ Test drive is a race driving game, not a shooting mission game. |
