Hey you guys i wanted to ask you who actually legaly own this game. Is it still alive? I mean i want to go out an buy it but only to play online so i need to know if this game is still alive or not? Are there a lot of ppl playing it? Please let me know.

yes this game is still alive, and i have a copy of it, i do play it and there are always people online so its easy to find a good server, but ive not played since september cause my comp crashed and this old one will not be able to handle it. but hopefully by next week ill be owning noobs .

okay another question. I looked online and saw they have different kinda bf2 htings. They got the origional which is $9 or the pack which is like $40 with all of the bf2 expansions and bf itself. What do you think is worth gettin?

i have both the original and the expansion pack but its better to get the original cause there are hardly any or good servers with the expansion pack. so dont waste your money on it.

bf2 is still alive, xpack is a waste of money as its not very popular. i mod bf2 with bf2pirates and united coalition. im nowhere near the level of the stuff here but im working on it.bf2 has a 7000 max poly limit on tanks and 4000 on vehicles like the hummer.

that was my 2nd ever vehicle 3400 poly both are ingame and actually look quiet reasonable but as i stated earlier nowhere near the quality of the suff is see here. im actually suprised to see a post mentioning bf2 here . just figured i would say its still alive and kicking and show a couple pics of my work. ive learned alot from this site looking at the wireframes and some of the tutorials but have a long ways to go. i do alot of buildings and texturing them for bf2 vehicles are something im attempting to learn.

it sucks...even with the "free with pizza hut" deal last year (which is how i got it lol), BF2 has pretty much died in Aus...it used to be good, and the expansion pack was worth it at the time...now it just sucks, unless you like playing the same 2 maps over and over and over and over and over...probably not as bad in the US though since theres going to be more people playing it

Yup i still got it,and i got battlefield 2142 aswell.

I Used to play it a fair bit, was in a clan called CCT in Aus, under the nickname CrooZin. If you get into a clan it s better as they always have clan matches and a fairly big comp. The Expansion packs were good as they had some better weapons in them.....I loved the sniper rifle L96A1 which was in the special forces expansion pack, man it was accurate, and flying the attack heli's solo was good fun. Still a great game imo.

I still play Battlefield 2 a lot, and I do own it legit as well. It rocks IMO.
