Hey guys, you look to be pretty fan of this game. I've bought NFS MW and Carbon for PS2, I was really disappointed by Carbon. Do you think this one is worth purchasing on PS2 ?

another 300k damm, but i do have two more kings to take down so its good.

there are a couple things i dont like with but over its great

like on some drag track, they start you car close to the wall or close to the egde of the track so if you get some wheels stands happening, you go off the track and stuff you your time.

but other than that i have really liked it.

BTW the cars i have atm are

Chev SS for the drag car, it only pulls 7.8 passes but it does the job

Ford GT as the grip car, it does the job well

Ford 03 Stang, nothing specail just cheep to repair

and the drag king's stang as my top speed car. i noticed it doesnt really matter what car you ahve cause they are limited to around 250mph

If you can turn, your not going FAST enough

ProStreet was better than some of the reviews made it sound. Probably because some of them thought it should have been Underground 3 . It's not the best NFS, but it's a 10 times better than Carbon IMO (I still think NFS 2 and 3 were the best).

One thing I don't like is that you can't take a couple tunings for you car to an event. It's really annoying because my Viper (for Drag racing) gets pretty unstable in some 1/2 mile races, but to fix it makes it pretty bad in wheelie competitions. My Zonda (for grip races) is set more for short curvey tracks, but isn't that great for tracks with several long straights (it's still pretty good, though).

I've heard that a fully tuned Supra can get almost 6 seconds in the 1/4 mile. I'm going to have to try that car sometime.

ViperProject: "Like all Need for Speed games, I'll probably get it, beat it and then it'll go to the bottom of my games pile and forgotten. Theres not much longevity to the current Need for Speed games, you just win and unlock everything, then mod a few cars the way you like them and thats it."

Can´t agree more... NFS: Carbon made me feel that way (even more than NFSU and U2). However can´t play GT4 since I don´t have a PS2 (and won´t get any gaming console since rFactor is THE game for me... I want a G25 so bad!).

Sorry for my bad english

I really enjoyed ProStreet on PC. It looked great, it played really well. It felt a bit short and many of the cars weren't my style, but there were a few gems.

Really, the reason I enjoyed it so much was because I frequent trackdays with my boyfriend and he and I both adore the game for how accurately, albeit ham-handedly, captures the feeling of pre-race jitters and then the balls-to-the-floor racing.

The tracks weren't great, but it was still fun. It was cute how the DJs would communicate over the PA system like at a real track.

Comments and criticisms were made about the amount of in-game advertising, but it didn't bother me in the least. The track a few blocks away from my house looks just like that. There are billboards for car parts, oil, manufacturers, aftermarket stores... Everywhere. Tracks actually look like that

All in all it was quite an enjoyable game, but, very sadly, the new title which'll be announced in July will return the Most Wanted style of free-roaming and open worlds.

There's just one thing left to say about it for me... I had friends who used to run in the illegal street races but they've all opted for legal drags and the open circuits at the tracks since their are sponsorship opportunities and you won't get hounded by the cops. I don't miss the open world. The progression from illegal street racing to legal circuit racing was a good move in my eyes.

You might want to buckle up.
