played the game today.... all i have to say is WOW beautiful game, took a while to get used too, but over all the damage is nice, physics are not bad, although car handling could be better, i was surprised at the fact that i hit a tree at high speed and i flew right through the front window, got up, lost some health, but stole another car...

graphic wise, its actually not bad, but requires a high definition TV in order to enjoy it and experience it to the fullest. the water and the reflections on the cars are just WOW, the detail in the cars is much much greater.

took some time getting used to the controllers, a little wierd at first with the x360 controllers, but got the hang of it slowly. some neat things i found interesting:
1. pedestrians speak different languages, i got italian, english and russian (since i understand russian it just cracked me up at the things they said, btw, radio stations have different languages too)
2. if someone fights you and you dont do anything, and there are cops around, the cops will try to stop that someone, before in old gta's they just ignored.
3. also when crossing a bridge you have the option to either slow down and pay $5 at the toll booth, they open the gate and you pass through, or you can just zoom right through it and break the gate and keep on going.
4. its pretty fun to crash b/c every time the damage is different, get the impression that its not the same damage model like in previous gtas'
5. you can walk, run, or sprint. pretty cool walking there, be like one of the pedestrians, not jog all the time like before. can swim, slow, fast and extra fast, but i didnt seem to find how to dive underwater, they dont have that option for gta4?

thats it for now, i didnt have a long time to play, i will have a lot of time tomorrow though

Oh, and for anyone that's interested, Wikipedia's posted up the GTA IV Soundtrack List, which lists all of the radio-stations, their hosts AND their songs.

There's some pretty big names in there. I know I'll be listening to Liberty Rock Radio the most just from looking at what songs they've got. I'm extremely happy that there's a Sisters Of Mercy song in there!!

There aren't as many 'big' names for music in there as Vice City had, but I think they've done pretty well!!

two things I wouldnt mind knowing....
- is there an "in-car cam" eg can you see the dash etc
- are there Trucks with trailer units?

those are the only two things ive missed from previous GTAs

Yes on both of those I'm pretty sure GV... I know 100% that there's a in-car cam.

...and yeah, I got excited when I saw ZZ Top in there too

there's a cam inside the car??? gotta check it out today,

btw, is it possible to open the top of a convertible car that has it closed? or do you have to go around and steal one that has it already opened?

btw, you can now control the lights of the car too, off, on, and high beam, pretty cool
