Really nice work Tom, just a comment, your rims... they looks like cheap rims of a Golf...
![]() Just kidding I would just add some big pipes to protect the rollcage, if you take a zombie on the windscreen (grill), it could break the whole thing. |

m82a1 is a 10 round clip semi auto, barrel recoils into the reciever to reload and absorb the massive recoil. can squeeze off ten round about as fast as you can squeeze the trigger so reload speed isnt an issue lol. just that the ammo gets heavy rather fast lol,

Thanks for all the comments.
Gillou, thanks. The rims were made in a really short time, maybe I'll change them. I'm not sure yet ![]() Icekid84, thanks. You're right about progress, I've took a look at all the renders (~30) I've made, nice to see the complexity coming. skb875, et_fone_home, thanks. The Garrett is more intended for sniping from a hill, rather than firing against a crowd running after the car. A kind of hunting game, like in the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" : a character ask the other one to kill the zombie looking like Nixon or Marylin or Oprah or ... Erik_S, thanks. I really have some issues to fix. Stay tuned ![]() ROcky103, thanks. You're right, they're just placeholders. I will remodel them but without any thread I think. Mayaniac, thanks. It's a pretty simple task, because I don't have any accuracy concern here, of course. No update so far, I'm currently closing the roll cage to give more protection, with some unbreakable glass panels (think perspex or something else) Edit : caribcanuk, thanks for the explanation. Please see what I've wrote above about the use of the rifle. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

I'm really glad you've taken a shine to this contest Tom, and it sure is showing. You've got some incredible details and a very nice zombie-killing ride in general. I am really hoping the texturing job will be just as kick-ass as modeling one!!
I think all it needs now is some polish (tyres mainly I think) and you'll be well on your way to coming 2nd... 2nd ? With you being 1st ? Haha
I've entered for two reasons : to have fun when modeling the beast, and to win !Thanks for your comment, I hope I'll improve my shadering skills on this one. In fact, I really need to... ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Thanks for comment, Nitro-x.
Thanks too, S][M. You're right about the suspension, it's really low detailed at the moment. I hope I will have enough time to make it more realistic. The sniper rifle is almost accurately sized (I've just reduced the butt length a bit) Despite how it looks, it can rotate 60'° left, 60° right, 12° down, 12° up. And the trigger is still reachable from the gunner in the car in such extreme rotations. I agree with you about choosing a winner. I said before I'd not made my choice and it's still true. Here's a new render, based upon the explanations given by ROcky103 in his thread (http://www.smcars.net/forums/work-pr...000-mkiii.html) It's looking better IMHO, but the render time exploded : 10' to 4 hours : x24 ! ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

That is one sick looking caterham! I love it!
I like those cages around the guns in the back and the passenger area. The chainsaw on the side is a nice touch. ![]() WIPs: KTM X-Bow Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversario (preview video)(gameplay video) Lamborghini Murciélago and LP640 (on hold) Lamborghini Gallardo Sypder (on hold) |

Thanks for all comments.
crazy 989, et_fone_home, I agree with you. That's the reason why I played with settings to try to lower the render time. Now I have an almost identical render in 30'. I know it's a bit darker, I'll take care of that later. ROcky103, I rendered it with YafRay : I'm no Max user but Blender user. Masakari987, the little "cannons" on rear wings are not guns but flamethrowers. They're fueled by the little tanks ahead. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |
