looks better than what i have for my texture so far but im still working on the model mostly.photoshop is another thing i need to learn how to use better the unwrapping is pretty easy.but cool looking tractor so far.

Don't get anger on me guys but i will write quick tut. for all people who wont to better understand unwarp process:

In fact i post this 2 previous posts for peoples who don't know yet how unwarp work. Well i try to write simple tutorial.

1st I collapse left side of tractor body and simmetry to get one full object. Than i add mesh smooth and after that UVW unwarp. Select faces subobject under UVW unwarp modifier and CTRL+A to select all faces. Click EDIT on unwarp rollout panel and on UVW unwarp window from MAPPING drop down menu use Flatten map (we select all faces). Go to Tools and use RENDER UVW templates. Pick resolution you wont and click Reneder UV Templates. Save you new map on hard disc. Open Photoshop or any other editor and start drawing (check my previous post).

EDIT: With this technique you don't need to detach any polys, You don't need to make MATERIALS ID. Just pure drawing.

Just little update. I start on new texture for front part of tractor. I'm still not sure about basic (green) texture maybe i change this but i will see how all look when i add more details (blood, bumps etc etc).

green and red do not look nice together, neither does green and yellow, apart from that it looks pretty nice, maybe extend the flames a bit, they look a tad short

Nice work so far.

The blood and rust are a bit blurry, although the flames aren't. You should fix that IMHO.

THX Tom. I also think to add only some rust and dust around exhausts but i will see because whole body texture is not 100 percent finish. I need to add rust spots and scratch spots.

I made two renders to get general look of tractor and to plan my next move.Some details need to be fixed and some minor texture correction also.

PS: Texture on back rim is not yet finished but i just put it to cover default gray material (on sec. pic.)

I add LOLLYPOP :-) on back wheel. Mounted on telescope mechanism, LOLLYPOP can be pulled out or back in case mounted on back wheel.

Main purpose:

1. Body distortion
2. Bones distortion
3. Twitch
4. Grinding

... man. STOP. I think I need sleep....
