    some more progress, ive been dinkin around with renders and only find myself getting lost in the progress/ process while doing so. any tips on staying focused, or is this normal with modelers?

    Use satin chrome instead of :chrome" chrome, its too reflective and makes things look like chromed plastic toys...

    ok, i will have to look into that. maxwell materials have brushed, scratched (what is rendered) , or someother. i tried doing just different surfaces to see but i think im going to end up doing seperate renders with the different examples

    its actually done with Google Sketchup. i didnt see it as an option for software.

    im still messing with materials. i dont understand light emitters in maxwell (free version). just still working on it.....

    looking good so far,
    if you've got modelling or texturing to do... its best to go to something totally different and come back to materials. sometimes a break helps you gain perspective on them.
