A studio render like this needs sharper highlights, that catch the hard lines of the car, to really make the car punch through the fact that it's big, mean, and hardcore. There aren't many highlights being caught here, and they are very soft. I would place some lights that give you highlights on the edges around the vents, and the creases above the headlights, to really show off the shape of the hood and car. Without those, the image seems more flat as well.
hey falango...awesome feedback...thanks...yeah, i used a hdr that i created for another still...which was not meant for this angle...hence why there is no strategically placed lights...i kind of tested it out, and it looked decent, and then hours later without realizing it i had a render lol...i will definitively use your advice and make a custom hdr this weekend...i will post an update...cheers
ps...where is canada are you from? im from toronto

You should check out the Digital Tutors tutorial on creating HDR light probes for automotive lighting, using HDR Studio. It's an amazingly simple tutorial, that gives fantastic results. Not too time consuming either.
I would flip the gradient in the backround. Now it looks not as good as it coould be. Better would be if the backround looks like a fallof map. "black-grey-black"
thanks for the tip duron, i will try that out this weekend when i redo the lighting
