About LinkBacksHello all !
I started my new project recently as a freelance job. I need to model some ugly piece of metal this time
I'm modeling car's for a few years now, but I still have a few little "problem areas"
In this model I have to do a sharp corners maintaining smooth transition (as on picture)
I simply can not do it, no matter how many ideas I've already tried...
Hope you'll help me with this.

try this,
chamfer the red pointy vertex and add edge loop very close to red edgeLast edited by skobe; 08-05-2012 at 02:11 PM.

Thank you a lot ! Finally works
I was trying something similar but I achieved poor resoults. This is the best technic so far. I'm so ashamed because I'm fairly expirienced modeler... Thank you again

I like to see some everyday cars here too. I'm quite tired of GTRs, Ferraris etc.

Now only the frustrating part to do... head and tail lights. I dont know why but I hate doing this. It's really hard job to discover various shapes on this all crazy chrome lights.

Thanks but it's not really so clean but I do my best to keep it nice and smoothYour work is so clean!
All right, modeling part finished so far. (I just need to drop some brakes and interior parts but it's minor thing as I won't planned modeling inside.)
Now comes the fun part (but sometimes most frustrating) rendering !
