Revised final renders with slightly better lighting and materials for headlights/taillights. Look at sig for headlight comparison Hooray, interior renders now.

Very nice!

You got a wrong material on the side fender logo thing. Its black in your renders, when its supposed to be a light grey material.

Your light in the previous one was correct, now its wrong, its not supposed to be HID 6500k, its supposed to be halogen around 3600K temp.

Also for the rear lights, it doesnt have enough red in it, its a bit pale.

Fantastic job!

I need some C&C with this test render i did, Its very small only to reduce render times.

In this Scene, Im using Vue as well as my current scene. Please dont crit on the quality of the render, but more on the materials, composition, color and how its set out.

Thanks,

Graphic designers always talk about 'thirds' when putting together a composition. Your latest render seems to be sharing roughly half the screen with the road. In the current composition i think it would be better if the car had 2/3 and the road the other 1/3... You want the car to be the dominant object in your scene. Its worth mentioning that the car itself is quite close to the end of frame on the right, moving the car slightly left would solve the above mentioned notes.

I don't really agree with NasG.

One half of the pic is enough to give importance to the car. The difference between 50% and 66% is not so important : the car doesn't use 80% of the pic, so the background is more than just noticeable, and the car doesn't use 20% of the pic, so the car is the major element of the pic.

The background here is a really enjoyable perspective. It really sucks the gaze to the left, that is, far away in the street. Then eyes go back to the car and start detailing it. You've got an excellent impression of speed then.

IMHO, it gets the job done. The image is more than just a road and a car, it tells a story on how the car is powerful and fast, and it also reminds me that "fun is not in the straight line".

Of course, the road specular need work, just like the orange wall on the highway. Hey, did you ever see a orange highway ?

I really would like to thank both of you for your time and help, thanks for the comments.

I know about the Thirds rule for camera techniques. I used to use this site mattwatkinson.com he had a great tutorial on car photography. But i think the site is gone or down now. I will redo the camera.

I will rework the road materials. I based the highway/freeway off one here where i live in Melbourne, Its called EastLink. They have sections with noise walls like those among a few areas, they arnt long, but very short.

advan had said some thing like this http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/rn5.jpg would be nice, I might do a scene like that later on.

Thanks on the help, There might be a render in a few days, It takes longer then before now, Vue added to the time, but also a few other things.

Also, does anyone know how to split a render in to sections so you use less ram, but you can put it together in photoshop? Using Maya, Mental Ray.

I found another car photography tutorial page, http://www.motivemag.com/pub/feature...phy_Tips.shtml

aaaaaaaaaaand the neverending project continues. Saw a photo of GT-R and inspired me to do this. Photoshopped on LED read out for fun. In other news, school starts soon and I'll have even less time to do cg than last year :[
