starting a fresh thread for 2009...although ive got a full time job for at least the next 6 months, so itll be a bit slower than before

started the first new car thats been shown, the Toyota Axio which is replacing both of the MR-Ss from last year

also, i could only do a quick render of the Furai for you doom18, its looks dodgy, but i hope its good enough for now ...i have to put most of my time into fixing messy CAD meshes for the next few weeks, because of an urgent job at work...ill do some better ones once the interior is done (you can see ive started the seats! )

ive also re-posted the poster of the 2008 cars i got through before the season finished, just in case anyone missed it...

That is looking good, that poster is HUGE -> Nice!

The furai looks good adn the start of the toyota is really good. How many cars are left to do? it's time you finish this and make some cool scenes for it like that straight you started once.

dunno how many polys these have, but have you got any plans or ever thought about brining them to a game? the quality looks immense, great work all over. gmotor 2.0 should be able to handle around 27-30k per car

well...first week at work was fun...got a crash course on how to put assets into the Crytek engine for an urgent job, which is wasnt what i was expecting

anyway, some updates on the corolla

@crazy989: thats because i dont like you ...haha nah, ill do it as soon as some testing photos and whatnot come up...at the moment nothings happening, apart from the announcement of this corolla and a some aero testing on the GT500 cars

@doom18: lol...i didnt know you wanted them on...my bad

@ erik_s: well...theres this corolla...probably the ferrari f430 that crazy wants...*maybe* the corvette, bmw and the murcielago...if theres anymore new cars to model, i dont know about them yet ...so yeah, maybe, just maybe ill be able to do a bunch of racing-action renders this year!

@OPM: theyre all too high poly for that, plus im not big on the idea of sticking them in any games anyway

@TomiL: thanks, ive fixed some of them, still working on others though...most of the photos of this car are overexposed, so everythings just bright yellow and you cant see a damn thing

anyway, i think i might start the aussie stuff while im waiting for more of these cars to appear

finally, something to post

started work some 2009 skins...not a terribly interesting update, i was hoping to do some renders, but i never got round to it...

2009 1st round entry list is here if anyones interested...only a few cars left to model...i *WILL* finish it this time!

i think for the trackshot when theyre all done, ill design my own pit straight so i dont have to focus on niggling accuracy issues, and just spend the time making it look good...then i might pick Sepang back up once ive got my eye in for it

also, Catlin wanted me to do this, so i will a bit later on ...hopefully he'll get back onto his sedan version

ill probably do some more ATCC skins this week in the other thread, since most of the other GT cars weren't painted properly at testing
